Anodizing in the production of aluminum profiles?

January 3,2023.
In the production process of aluminum profiles, anodic oxidation is a necessary process, that is, add aluminum profiles to the electrolyte, use aluminum as the anode for electrolysis, and form an oxide film of more than 10 microns on the surface of industrial aluminum profiles, so that the produced The aluminum profile products have strong corrosion resistance and wear resistance, which can prolong the service life of the products.
When the aluminum profile is anodized, the surface pretreatment process must be carried out first, that is, the dust and oil stains on the surface are removed by washing with water, or the mirror surface or matte surface is obtained by mechanical means. If the surface pretreatment of industrial aluminum profiles is not thorough, the original oxide film on the surface of the substrate cannot be removed, and it is difficult to produce an artificial oxide film, so the uniform color cannot be obtained.
After some aluminum profiles are anodized, black spots, stripes, and small holes will appear on the surface, and some even have no oxide film. The main reasons for the above phenomena are: the composition of the aluminum profile is related to the alloy composition: aluminum-magnesium alloy or pure aluminum It is easier to form high-quality oxide film, aluminum-silicon alloy or aluminum-copper alloy, the formation of oxide film is slightly more difficult, and the color of the oxide film produced by industrial aluminum profiles is dim, which affects the appearance.
Regarding the uniformity of structure and interphase: If the metal phase or structure formed on the surface is uneven, it will cause uneven oxide film. For example, if the silicon content in aluminum alloy is uneven, it will cause local non-oxidation and even pores. It is related to the metal ions in the electrolytic solution: if the content of iron, copper and other impurity ions in the electrolyte is too high, black spots will occur. Impurities suspended in the electrolyte: If there is too much dust and debris suspended in the electrolyte, it will cause spots on the oxide film, reduce the corrosion resistance of aluminum profiles, and affect the use effect.
The above content is its influence, and for the anode gas oxidation, the resistance generated by it is relatively large, and a large amount of heat will be generated in the process. The higher the voltage in the tank, the more heat will be generated. The cooling equipment controls the electrolyte temperature at 13-26°C. If it exceeds 30°C, the oxide film of industrial aluminum profiles will be loosely pulverized, easy to fall off, or even coked, which will seriously affect the quality of the oxide film, especially in summer when the temperature is high. Note that measures must be taken after more than 2 slots, otherwise, the manufactured aluminum profiles will not be able to play a role in anti-corrosion.
